Institutional and Corporate Members are companies, institutions of higher learning or other organizations interested in fostering the science of organic petrology. These Members have the right to appoint an employee as their primary designated representative to be the principal TSOP contact for the organization (along with a second person as backup contact). These individuals do not have to be individual TSOP Members to be the designated representative.

Institutional and Corporate Members enjoy all the privileges of the regular Society membership with the exception that neither they nor their representatives shall hold Council office, serve on administrative committees or vote in TSOP elections, as these functions are reserved for individual TSOP Members. Notwithstanding the above limitations, any designated representative of an Institutional or Corporate Member who is also an individual TSOP Member, may continue to exercise his/her individual membership rights and privileges on his/her own behalf.

To join TSOP please fill out the Membership Application Form.

Your application will be forwarded to the TSOP Council. When approved your account will be created on the Members Only webpage. You will then receive an email to log in and pay your dues via PayPal or check (check option is available for US members only due to high bank fees when processing a foreign check). Your membership will be announced on the TSOP Facebook page and logo of your company will be posted on TSOP home page.

TSOP dues are currently set at:
$75/1 year for institutional members

Dues should be paid by December 31 for the coming year.
