Tim J. Pratt

Timothy J. Pratt passed away May 4, 2018, at his home in Golden, Colorado, at the age of 58. He was born December 2, 1959 in Chicopee Falls, MA on Westover Air Force Base. He was named after his paternal grandfather. He was the son of Tot Pratt Jr. and Leona Irene (Bain) DeGrande.

Tim graduated from Arvada West High School in 1978 then went on to attend Southern Illinois University (SIU) Carbondale where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Geology in 1989.
Tim worked for four years as a Geologist/Petrologist at Resource Enterprise before founding his own company TICORA Geosciences Inc. TICORA was named after members of his family (Tim, his wife Tamra, and their firstborn Colton). Tim built TICORA into a multimillion dollar company before selling it to Weatherford International in 2007 and was working on becoming a philanthropist.

Tim was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by and the proud father of two sons Colton and Hunter, his daughter in-law Rachel Fey and granddaughter Finn Rose, affectionately called MuFinn by Tim. In addition, Tim will be fondly remembered by his mother, Leona (Bain) DeGrande; Brothers Jeff Pratt, Greg Pratt, and Rick DeGrande; Sisters Patricia Pratt and Julie DeGrande; nephews Chris Pratt, Jake Pratt, Seth Pratt, and Sean DeGrande, and nieces, Dusty Gutierrez, Nicole Jones, Kimber Just, Sarah Pratt, Lindsay DeGrande, and Zoe DeGrande. Tim was also blessed with many uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends.
