The 21^st Annual Meeting of TSOP will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Coogee Beach, a beach-side conference venue conveniently located with respect to Sydney Airport and the city centre.

Coal in sustainable development
Methane in high and low rank coals
New techniques in organic petrology and geochemistry
Non-marine source rocks

Wednesday, September 29 - Technical sessions, conference dinner
Thursday, September 30 - Technical sessions, field trip departure
Friday, October 1 - Field trip: coal geology of the Hunter Valley

Additional details and a formal call for papers can be found through links on the TSOP 2004 meeting web site (see above). Sydney, host to the 2000 Olympics, has many attractions for those who can stay a little longer, and a partners' program is being planned to complement the technical activities.
