Day Trips
at the 27th Annual TSOP Meeting
Denver, Colorado, USA - September 12 - 16, 2010

To help you decide if you might wish to be part of either trip, or to attend alone, please consider locating these via mapping programs: maps.Google.com or www.Bing.com.

The respective internet sites below should answer all your questions about each location.

The Denver Museum of Science www.dmw.org is a day trip for meeting attendees and spouses. It is a world class facility and offers not only museum type exhibits, including special, limited time, traveling exhibits, but also includes an IMAX and a planetarium. If you wish to attend alone, it is an easy drive to the Museum about 12 miles (19km) away.

Dinosaur Ridge www.dinoridge.org is a slice of the Denver Front Range geology complete with dinosaur footprints and impressions of plants and other fossils. It is close to the Sheraton Hotel (about 6 miles; 10km) and would be a great half day trip outside. Please be prepared for variable weather conditions. The trip will be outdoors with little shade. Conditions could be hot and dry to cool/cold. It is advisable to have sun screen and a hat with you.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel*. This hotel is located in Lakewood, Colorado, west of Denver. It is about 55km (35 miles) from Denver International Airport, easily accessed by major highways. Attendees should plan to stay at the Sheraton.
